Those plugs are the oil gallies for the oil filter and the oil squirter in the block. they are the main oiling system plugs. it is very rare for those to leak in my experience. they should be fairly tight. I would take them out clean the threads and check to see if there is any debry on the threads. you can put some teflon on them, but be very carefull not to let the teflon get ahead of the plug. the last thing you want is that getting into your oil spuirters or worse cloging any of the oil paths.
Yea, I don't see other people have that leaking problem from those two plugs too, but I don't see what else could make such a wet oil spot around it. I just digg'd through the FSM couple times and I failed to find anything about it. I'm still not feeling cool to use alien tools and teflon on them...Anyone got more info of working on them?
