1) Dont want AC, dont use it. Disconnect the belt. Common motor knowledge would be to look at what the belt connects to. It connects from the main crank pulley to the AC pulley. Its as simple as disconnecting that belt.
2) Power steering. The SOHC components from what I hear are useless, so dont use the PS from your SOHC.. just remove them all and deal with it later.
