sr20det, rb20det, ka24de, etc are engine codes created by the factory to refer to their engines. However there was no turbocharged ka made by the factory, therefore nissan NEVER had a code stating KA24DET. Thats why u often see people say KA24DE-T as in a sense to make it different from other engine codes to not make people confused. KA24DET is an invention by people with turbocharged kas, and is nothing more than a way to refer to a turbocharged ka. I don't really give a **** what people call them, but since your were diggin yourself a hole with rb25dett, i thought i'd help you out.....
