yeah i asked the alignment guy to help me out but he didn't see anything. i'm pretty sure its just something in the brakes. the calipers could possibly be sticking considering its a car with 165,000 miles on it. this is what happens when you buy a car that sat for a whole year not running. things just start to break. its possible that when i pushed the piston back in that it messed up the seals. since the pads were really low it was pretty far out and wasn't very easy pushing back in. the seals were probably so dry rotted that that caused it. maybe a caliper rebuild is in order.

thanks for the little thinking method tip, it actually works to think simpler sometimes.
