As long as you clean both surfaces (oil pan & block) throughly and you OEM silicone and DONT OVER TIGHTEN/TORQUE THE BOLTS it will never leak. I've built quit a few motors and have never had a problem with an oil leak from the oil pan ( or any area of a SR block for that matter)

OEM Silicone done correctly FTW !!!!!
