Yeah, I think what saved our collective asses at least in part is that when I instinctively braced for impact, I let off the brakes. I feel if she would have hit me and my brakes were on it would have been a much different story.

but no, really, it's more important that everyone is okay. i know that's easy to say when it's not your car, but for real, bad things happen from time to time. if you dwell on it for too long, you'll end up blowing your brains out.

Yeah, she told the cop while he was taking down the report that she just wasn't paying attention. Then the cop walked over to me to take my statement and was like "well. it's not your fault" and then laughed haha.
I honestly won't care that any of this happened if I can get a few extra bucks out of it and replace the stock exhaust with a catback which would probably be cheaper and get some Rally Armor mudflaps so I can stop scratching my paint.
