There are a few reasons why this might happen, and depending on how much you know about cars/your car, you should be able to easily rule some of them out.


1) Cylinder 2 spark plug not firing
--a) Is the coilpack plugged in or is it properly connected to the distributor?
--b) Is the plug gapped correctly (may be blowing out at higher RPM)?

2) Injector on that cylinder is kind of shot....not opening correctly, spraying TOO MUCH fuel.


Those are the only reasons I could think of that one cylinder would run more rich that the others.


If the spark is not going off at ALL in that cylinder, you should feel that and the car should sputter snd feel unbalanced.
