My parents and a majority of family were born in Haiti. Some of my family still lives there. We are praying to hear from them soon. The earthquake has deeply affected me, not only because of my direct connection to Haiti, but because of the huge loss of life and suffrage.

Please donate to the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund by texting “YELE” to “501501” from your cell phone. You will be charged $5 on your bill and 100% of your donation will go to those in need in Haiti. Yele is a charity founded by Wyclef Jean. Please visit Yele Haiti - UPDATES for more information.

You can also text “HAITI” to “90999” and a donation of $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross to help with relief efforts and charged to your cell phone bill. Please visit American Red Cross for more information
