im 6' also and i have an NRG short hub, quick release and deep dish wheel and I love how it sits but i would be ok if it sat a little closer. It will vary from person to person but the set up I have seems to be pretty good for someone our height. not too far not too close. youre just gonna have to take a chance and see how you like it.
