I like the neon around the door, and am familiar with the light strips you're talking about. I was considering getting them myself, actually. And the blue needles from import intelligence, thus running with a blue theme.
As for the GT-R logo, I think it's gotta go. I love the blue glow on it at night, but I don't particularly care for the fact it says GT-R because, well, that's ricey - pretty much even if the car is GT-R. Although, as I said, I like the blue glow, so perhaps you could consider what I would like to one day get off my lazy ass and do, and that's put a piece of clear plexiglass over the opening like you did, and a blue light next to it, like you did, but something else underneath it. I'm leaning towards the clear MB Quart crossover box for now.
Should I actually do everything to my car that I want to do (instead of just driving it), I'll post pics. With the cold weather coming, the joy of driving is starting to dwindle, so perhaps I'll replace that with the joy of working until spring rolls around and I won't be able to be near the car if it's stationary. =)
