You're right, this has been going on in Japan for years. Of course, the Silvia came with larger brakes than the american counterpart. We pretty much got screwed, like usual...

In the japanese mags we have at the shop, the most common upgrade for the Silvia's are the Skyline Brake upgrade. I wish it was easier to find here or I'd have done it to my car.
