a note on your wheel choice:
CE28N are, afaik, Volk's lightest wheels.
GT-Ns, while looking better, are apparently significantly heavier, though. I'd consider using the CE28s on track and the GT-Ns for street.
Also, i hope you're an *extremely* safe and conservaiteve driver on public roads, because a car without bumper reinforcements is significantly more prone to serious damage than one with supports... unfortunately, I found this out first hand.

Consider just cutting out some of the front support rather than losing it altogether; after all, you don't want that V-SPL to explode upon a 5mph front impact caused by some small patch of sand coming up to a traffic light!
BTW Good luck with the car -- I'd be very interested to see what it looks like both during your build-up process and when it's finished.
