That is my viewpoint and why I put you on blast.
To keep on topic, I just got some estimates in. Maaco on Batavia (Lance) the one recommended in Orange, $850 for the cheap paint, $950 for the nicer paint. My car has a lot of dings and needs some body work, that is why it's a lot more expensive. But I was talking with Lance for awhile, he's in the Z crowd, owns a nice clean blue 240Z. We talked for like an hour about random shit and he seems like a very down to Earth, knowledgeable guy.
Then I went to Earl Sheib, and wow, $1150 for the cheap single stage paint. Same body work as Maaco, same door jambs and such. Lance from Maaco even cut me a deal on the price knocked off some of the labor and paint costs. He also helped me figure out what I'm going to need to do for my trim thats peeling and checked the pricing on all the trim, and weather stripping for me.
So far my plan I think is to sand and prep my car, disassemble the front end and rear end and take it to Lance at Maaco.

Not to bump up a old thread, but it's been 3 months are there any results? I been thinking about doing my own prep, disassemble my bumper & everything and have someone spray it. Do you think your friend Lance at Maaco would be able to hook it up and I provide my own paint?
