Alright so i made some legendary giant steps with duballstar today and his personal expertise. We found that the fuel pump went from working and getting power before putting the new ecu in, to not getting power afterwords. Thus i had overlooked this problem and assumed all was fine with the fuel pump.
Furthermore, we located the egr relay and jumped it and were able to get power running back to the fuel pump once again. But when we figured the relay was bad, we took the EGR relay out of duballstars car (a known good relay) that had just been used in. It did not fix the problem which is very strange.
Well anyway the car fired up and ran extremely rough even while setting the distributer to every possible position. But it did run without stalling.
The temperature guage is showing no reading now, and i will go to pick up a new coolant temperature sensor tomorrow. I think theres a good chance it is a dud because the plug had been yanked out by the fan when all of this first occured.
Does anyone have any idea why a good relay would not fix the problem i am having that i descricbed above? And maybe a bad coolant sensor is to blame for no reading, and the rough state of the engine????
