the only rule there is against lasers is that
it is illegal to market a laser above 5mw as a laser pointer, they must be sold as hand held lasers.
but keep in mind that, if you shine this in a public place there is a chance a cop is going to stop you very quicklly, because they are so bright they are going to say you used it as a weapon of some sort.
It is illegal also to point one at any moving object such as a vehicle,helicopter, airplane etc... or person.
Some of my close friends in Iraq use the infrared one with their NVG's and a couple use these more powerfull greens whenever going into buildings. they claim people scream in terror because of the sudden flash" as if they were seeing aliens lol
