well thats what i did, my car is a 98 as well, the wiring for ac is different and it also says that the air mix motor plug is different from the JDM, mine was all the same everything plugged in, just had to repin the air mix and mode motor...
I wired the the mode motor like the the diagram says EXCEPT pins 5 and 6. I reversed those.. and it works perfect no codes and all my functions work normally
