hmm first go read about suspension components. as i learned like every other noob there's alot more to suspension then just springs and shocks (which is what i assume you're really asking about). for instance just getting better grip tires will make a world of difference... anyway spring shock i would go kyb agx and eibachs (or some similar $200) springs... beginner set up for $600-ish. that's about as cheap as you can go without hitting e-bay.
