If you don't EVER want to worry about the connectors coming apart, get a set of Magnecor wires. I had several wires self-destruct on me when the rubber donut stuck on the plug and the plastic pipe pulled itself free, and I noticed that the Magnecors have a beefy one-piece connector.
They're a little more expensive than the price you quoted for the NGKs (I paid $101 shipped from Option Auto Salon about a year ago), but are rock solid and have a nice warranty (sorry, don't remember the specifics offhand). I don't know about color choices, mine are red.
