yah, i 'd say check timing, what i did for this was cut a hole in a old cap at the number 1 plug position so i could make sure the rotor was there, then watched for the timing mark on the pulley. another thins to check is you idle air valve, on your intake tube there is a bigger hose that comes off near the valve cover hose, the hose goes back to a little control vlave, i ve heard that it can stick, but yah try cleaning maf, try celaning your water temp sensor, it seems the water temp sensor has lots of problems, and try cleaning your throttle body, i removed my egr and aiv and i had to clean my idle air valve to make it run right, also if u have a vacum leak you ll ahve higher rpms.

Thanks so much guys! It might be the timing chain or "The Rattle..." its exactly when I rev above 3k rpms and it rattles on the rev-down. Also I've heard about this IAA valve but everyone says its a pain to get to so I tried the AIV first...when I take my intake off the MAF looks clean inside...but is that not the part that gets dirty? Should I just remove the whole thing and soak it in carb cleaner...same w/ the IAA? And where's the water temp sensor(sorry guys...Im a want-to-learn-everything newb.)
