aww shucks...did the superbowl get upstaged for a moment?...boohoo..
you're missing the entire debate...you're looking at simply the surface issues without thinking about the underlying values in this country which are what cause the reactions in the first place...i just don't see how it was THAT big of a deal...it was simply out of place and in an unexepected context...this is what scared and angered people...

The way I see it, people are going to be pissed off no matter whats shown on tv. There is such an uptight demographic of people in american, they cant be made happy. Thats fine. They arent the one come up complaining about the material of that "MTV" because they dont watch it. They dont agree with the material being shown and therefore dont watch it, avoiding what they dont like all together. This makes sense. What gets me is that the people who are up in arms about this certain incident werent watching the super bowl to see some sort of christian lecture series, they were watching it so see people beat the shit out of each other. One second, people are hitting each other, bleeding, cursing at one other (and these words are often caught accidentally over field mics and hear on the air) and everthing is fine; hell bring the kids in they might like it. But, oh wait, the next second, a boob gets partially exposed for about 2 seconds and everyone utters a "Oh shit, put the kids to bed and get the number of my lawyer, we are sueing CBS." Where were these people when the Panthers coach as clearly seeing mouthing the word FU*K on more then one occation. Is that less insluting to the American viewing public? Living in the Bible Belt, I see hypocricy like this almost everyday and frankly I am tired of it. I am not saying that tomorrow that there should be naked women on everychannel (be it cabel or network) but I just think people need to get off their high horse and come down to reality. And if your kids are starting to imitate the images and personaities they see on tv, is that their fault our yours as a parent? You want the best for you child, teach it to them yourself dont let the tv do it. If they get out of line, step in and set um right (even if that involve a spanking or a quick backhand). Hell, I am glad my parents did, I am better off because of it today and can relieze what is right and wrong for myself and not let some electronic box do it for me.
Moral of the story here: Accept what we natural have, hell celebrate it TASTEFULLY. While it was wrong for either Janet or Justin to set this up with out prior knowledge of CBS, mistakes happen. Build a bridge and get over it. A boob is a boob after all, we all saw them when we were little babies, didnt seem to effect us too bad then, but I guess an older American public cant deal with it.
I think I am going to move to Amsterdam.
