That's because of the media, and that is the issue we (Military individuals) have with it.

Soldiers = ARMY, and ONLY ARMY

Navy Seals, like the rest of the Navy, are Sailors.
Air Force has Airmen.
Coast Guard has Guardsmen.
Easiest of all to remember, Marines are Marines.

The media used to use the proper term, "Troops" all the time. For some reason, they have switched to calling everyone Soldiers, which isn't appropriate.
However, everyone that has read this, can no longer use "ignorance" as an excuse.

Now, to remain on topic: Everyone touting that this is the end of the war, remember this quote...

"Only the dead have seen the end of war"
--George Santayana (Not Plato, the media has gotten THAT wrong as well)

It's great that one more scum bag is no longer among the living, but it doesn't change anything. If you don't agree with this war, or like this war... GOOD! You're not suppose to like war. It's a bad thing. War will continue, all over the world, as long as mankind continues.
