Anything german for me...they are a pain to fix and if you take them somewhere they will empty your pocket book.

As fot the mitsu/nissan arguement goin on....z cars did have a common trans problem and window motors. 2002-2006 nissans were not built well and the 2.5 is prone to headgasket problems. Evos do have a headgasket problem as well 2 of the people in this area have had that problem. HOWEVER if he had not blown that headgasket he would have never gotten the stroker kit and made a badass evo (he is a chiropracter that owns 2 practices around here I believe).

Every car brand has its problems audi/vw turbo problems.......late '90s-early'00s chevy's lower intake problems on their 3l seires motors (3.1,3.8, etc).
Fords are notorious for rusty rotors with very little time of movement.
Hondas are bad with rust and ball joints.
Chryslers eat tie rod ends like candy and pt cruisers blow out lower control arm bushings every 15k.
Subarus blow headgaskets like they are going out of style.
Mercedes leak oil just about everywhere(especially valve covers) as do bmw but coolant not oil.
Mazda 13b's I agree my rx7's were money pits but then so was my sentra....240....g35.....
