He doesn't use his brakes much then or he's BS'ing you to sell you an overpriced product. Endless are nice, but cost 4x what they are worth, but that's the price to be "JDM cool".

Porterfield, Hawk, or KVR are as good or better for 1/3rd the price.

Hawk tend to wear out rotors faster due to the high amount of metal in the pads and they do make a fair amount of noise. KVR don't stop as good, but they will last longer and be quieter than the Hawk.

I like Porterfield, I've never had a problem with their castings and I've gone through 5 total sets of them on various cars. The R4S pads are the best I've ever used for the street compared to Hawk, KVR, and EBC Greens. I've used Porterfield R4 and EBC Red off the street and the EBC Red's worked great, but tore the hell out of the rotors, Porterfield R4 worked almost as good, but held up better to the abuse.
