I figured I'd best just bring this thread back from the dead instead of starting a new one so:
I'm pretty set on the nice components up front 10" sub in the back run by one 4channel amp idea that seems to be the status quo in this thread, my question is this: I've been doing probably way too much reading around the net on rear fill and it seems to be a universal truth that when done right it is a huge improvement to a system, broader stage stronger mids and lows improved imaging blah blah blah. Most of those guides suggest things far beyond the budget system I'm planning wiring into and out of amps and processors in different ways to (L-R) etc. Any good ways to get the desired effects while still retaining a minimalist system? I.E. can I just wire my deck to the rears do such and such with the equalizer and sit back and listen to the improvements? My main reason for wanting to retain the rears is like so many I have a loud car and those extra speakers will go a long way overcoming my exhaust without putting heavy sound deadening all over my sweet race car
