^the best bet is for him to bring it across the boarder, you give him cash in hand, then you figure out the registration. It may be easier to tell your DMV or whoever does your registration you had the car for a while, fixing it, then just get a shop to do an inspection. AKA, a project car. But keep the bill of sale etc, you may need it.

either way, he's not going to drive it across the boarder for you anyways, so good luck when they start asking questions at the Peace Arch.

There is no real 100% way to get this legal in the US, but I know some people that have done it. Not in your area. Don't PM me.
