If they made a 295/35/17, I would buy one but I have never ever seen one. 275 or 315 are what's out there. 295/18 yes, but 295/17 doesn't exist. I run a 275/35/17 Nitto NT05 on RPF1s in the rear and they fit without rubbing with a fender roll and pull. If I dropped some they would rub though, as they won't tuck inside the fenderwells with that wide of a tire.
The fronts will never fit in my opinion without getting widebody fenders, and if you actually do get them to fit the fenders will be murdered.
I have also heard that for autocross/grip purposes running a 255 front+ can drive the need for a power steering fluid cooler. I am still running 235s up front until next season starts, when I will move up to 255s in the front. I need to get wider RPF1s for the front in +18 instead of the +38, which I have now.
