90amp is not hot enough to produce a strong enough weld that it will penetrate. Also, the weld doesn't actually show up on the other side, it will however leave a trail and should get both sides hot.
If worried, use a torch and heat up the metal before welding, it will help the weld penetrate better

Thanks for the reply. It says it can weld up to that thick, it may just be that I'm inexperienced that its not penetrating. I'm going to try cutting more of a V to see if that helps at all. If i can even get it good enough to hold to where I can put my car back together and take it somewhere to be welded again, that might be an option as well.
