Definitely. The things I would do with that beautiful beast would land me in jail real quick though.
I think a dedicated performance platform would be the best personally.
I know the 370z doesn't have an awd setup, but it's not unthinkable to implement that & sell the car @ 45k, maybe reduce to power level to the 400's & some of the gadgetry on the gtr to keep the costs down.

It would be nice to see Nissan have something between the Z and the GTR.
The Nismo Z and that fancy ISP G37 (or whatever you call it) isn't too impressive imo.
