The Eliza Project -- RHD 87 Z31
Hey fellow Z lovers(louvers, ahaha)! My name is Ally and I wanted to introduce myself to the forum and tell you a bit about my girl. I'm stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and I am a diesel engine/generator mechanic. I've wanted a Z since I was 8 years old, and now that I'm in my 20's, I got one!
I just purchased a RHD 1987 Z31 with an RB20DET(stock here) back in August. She's seen better days but I'll make a beaut out of her if it kills me -- and the bank -- which she seems to be doing a bang-up job of so far.
Here's the main problems to far:
With A/C on, car will not accelerate past 25k/ph [Uhh...leaking vaccum hose maybe?]
Car reaches 42k/ph and power to engine cuts. Reengages at 38k/ph. Does not sputter or stall. RPM does not make a difference. [Proposed next fix: replace spark plugs.]
Left cooling fan does not turn. [Buy multimeter. Hah.]
