My preference is power steering.
I've drifted a corolla before without power steering and it was quite a handful. I've also driven an S13 after the power steering failed, and that was near impossible. But then again you're also fighting against fluids that aren't moving. It would be interesting to drive an S13 with a modified non power steering rack, but I'm sure I would still prefer power.
