Don't know if this will help at all, but my car has the wandering idle as well, just a lot more extreme sometimes (between 400 - 1200), and the last time was because of the idle air control valve (IACV) and the throttle body being too dirty. The way it was explained to me was that when I disconnected my battery for a while, one of the computers "forgot" the information about where the IACV was supposed to go on idle, and I therefore stalled a few times because it was trying to bring it to factory settings until I had it cleaned. After, I had to disconnect the battery again to reset it again and then run it. Stalled a few times on the way home, but by the time I got back, it was running smooth(er). As you did clean before, one thing you can do is to check it again and see if it is built up already. If it is, then you probably have something contaminating your engine (as in a hole in your intake or something that is causing stuff to get into your engine without being filtered).
I was told this by a mechanic that has done good work on my car, so I am willing to trust what he says, but it could just be my situation and not yours. Hopefully cleaning helps.
