Your 20+ year old plastic clutch fan is a time bomb. Ever had a clutch fan take a shit? I have. Take a look at your fan, i bet it has nice little cracks in between every blade. No big deal now, but those just get bigger and bigger.
I used to run the clutch, yes it is the optimum cooling set-up. But i own a boosted KA, i'm always fucking with shit. The clutch fan and shroud are a pain in the ass when doing many things on your car.
Relays failing? All my relays are still oem and they outlasted the clutch fan?

Ever drop a VC bolt or similar while having a clutch fan? Maybe if you're a 7 year old starving child from Sudan reaching down past the clutch is cake, but if not, that bitch is annoying as fuck.
I have e-fans now and the headache they prevent is much greater than the initial headache they can produce to install (which isn't hard) As long as you get some decent fans.
