Depending where you put your gauges, you can pull the ACC also known as accessory wire off the radio harness. Like Braodfield mentioned ACC is a wire that gets power when the key is in the on position. Are you sure your RED wire is not meant to be hooked up to constant 12V?

FYI if you want to know which wires are what off the radio harness assuming your running a aftermarket radio, Yellow is the 12V Constant and Red is your ACC. If you have a factory radio still.

S13
Constant 12V: Red/Black
Switched 12V: Blue

S14
Constant 12V: Pink
Switched 12V: Blue

If not you can use a Multimeter and use the probes to check which wire is what on your ignition harness above your steering column.
