haha, ive never actually been asked that before..
but typically here we know what a hood and trunk are in terms of cars, but we say bonnet and boot yea.
a trunk is usually known as the mast/body/base/main piece/not branches of a tree and a hood is on the back of ya jumper if it has one (hoodie).. and also barbeque hood (lid) etc
very good question im rather amused by that haha
