Your reasoning is sound, but this is something we talk about with everyone that buys a swap kit or remote oil filter mount, and we've done hundreds over the years.

the rod knock came from something else i will sell this car with a block and heads from a 99 corvette with 44k miles on it for 14000.
then it would just be swapping the parts over.
