damn, you were able to break the welds on your diff?
what do you want a diff for? drift/track/daily?
vlsd is fine for daily driving, but if you take it to the track/similar then you should go mechanical locking. the viscous liquid in vlsds supposedly eventually wears out (cant speak from experience) as well as once it gets to hot at the track, it acts as an open diff (friend's experience)
read up on and decide if you want 1.5 or 2 way.
