The tie rods are built extra long to allow use with modified knuckles that move the spindle pickup point further out. If you are running stock knuckles with stock style outers then there is plenty of thread on the cut one and the other side would need to be cut down as well. If you are running modded knuckles with spherical ends then the length would also be fine. If you are running modded knuckles with a stock style outer the cut one *might* be too short but it depends on the knuckle design.
The inner thread that attaches to the rack is the same between the S13 and S14, and these use the larger M14x1.5 outer thread of the S14/Z32.
