Thanks for the FYI. Just to clarify a few differences between the Adaptronic and the others mentioned.

First off the Adaptronic features the ability to use Volumetric Efficiency based tuning versus limited MAF or rigid Speed Density systems. This method makes the tuning process much easier, more linear, and adaptable to changing modifications and running conditions.

The Adaptronic does not require a peripheral control unit such as a Datalogit ($300) to simply input a wideband O2 signal, datalog in an easy to use format, or enable other commonly used inputs.

The Adaptronic features Adaptive Closed Loop Tuning which when paired with an wideband O2 can 'self tune' during all running conditions including idle, transient throttle (throttle response), as well as under load in boost. This feature is not found in the other ECU's and is what I originally referred to as a function only found on higher priced units (Haltech, Motec, etc.)

If you are interested in using alternative fuels such as E85, the Adaptronic can continue to retain adaptive closed loop tuning by simply adding a 'flex sensor'. This fuel sensor measures that actual ethanol mixture in real-time and transmits feedback to the ECU to ensure proper delivery.

There are many more included features such as:
  • Superior boost control (boost by gear with factory sensors).
  • Compatible outputs to most electronic dash displays such as Race Technology.
  • Traction/launch control.
  • Multiple map switching for different operating conditions such as street vs. track.
  • Variable Valve Timing control.
  • 3.5 Headphone jack for listening to knock while tuning/on the dyno.
  • and although it may be hard to believe, many more features!

Plus for a limited time we are offering a $100 Tax Season Special for Zilvia.net members! This special tax season pricing is only available on Nissan Plug-In Select ECU's. During check out enter the coupon code Zilvia100

If you are interested or have questions about the Adaptronic ECU line or their functions feel free to contact us for more info!

P.S. Check out the Sennheiser/Ric Shaw Racing FD3S powered by Adaptronic in this weekend's Bathurst 12 Hour Endurance Race!
