Well, I had a mate recently look up my chassis code on Nissan Fast.
I was over the moon to find out its build date to be 88/05... On the compliance plate here in Australia, it states 1989. My chassis code 000787 wouldn't come up in Nissan Fast on its own as well, but after entering the code and one of the other codes it came up with the build date, the series and transmission, but colour was blank and so was trim...
