In the event of a super lean condition in which the electrode could be melted the iridium could possible break free of the plug and beat the shit out of the pistons and combustion chamber. Copper will burn up without hurting the top end.
OP, you need p/n: BKR7-ES copper NGK plugs.
If your mixture is right and your engine is running efficient the plug will have an ash color to it. Not to white, not to dark either. Just google some pictures to help you read the plug.
