are you talking about an aftermarket oil cooler or the factory water circulation oil cooler? i've been running my 2jz 240 since 2005 without any additional oil cooling and have never had a problem with it.
hell, i was even thinking about removing the stock piece that has the oil filter mount and getting the correct size piece so that i can just thread my oil filter directly onto the block. guys say that doing this will increase your oil pressure ~20 psi. if you ask me serious oil cooling only comes into play if you are road racing like doing laps around a circuit.
