Don't fiddle with the first turn leading Ito the straight. Gain more speed and follow the line you were
On. Use your speed and do a lift off. If your speed is at the limit of your tires your car will initiate easier using the feint motion you are currently using...depending on your set up you could also try a foot brake drift.
They are my favorite on track drifting and easy to do when your car is at its limits
