Yeah i literally havent played this game for months until i tried the editor and i love it now. just fun...
Unfortunately the editor i use does not allow me to make the cars have better fitment. the one i use only allows hacking the downforce, suspension camber etc. but i cant find a way to widen the stance to fit the fender wells better.
Also though there are many editors that people use. some people actually can put complete different chassis under the body of the desired car. so for instance there is someone ive seen put a full race car chassis on a basic camaro body. which changed the fitment. i personally didnt have the editor work the way i wanted so i downloaded another one.
Here is the one i use, it doesnt have too many options but its simple and works.
