Just to expand on this: changes in camber at the top hat, or from the LCA will not change the effective distance between the wheel and coil. Changes at the mounting bracket on the knuckle will changed the distance between the wheel and coil. If you have slotted mounting brackets like some coils (see fortune auto) you can use the lower bracket to fine tune you clearance and then use the top hat or LCA to dial in your camber spec.
Question: Looking at playing around with tire sizes again since my rears are just about gone and my fronts have seen better days. Thus far, I've run a 225/40/18 all around, and a 215/40/18 up front, 18x9.5 +20 all around with ~-2 camber, and the same rear setup with -4.5 camber up front and an effective 18x9.5 +5.
In a perfect world, I'd like to run the same tire front and rear, just to be able to swap them around to balance out some of the wear. Currently debating between 215/40/18 all around, 225/35/18 all around, and 215/35/18 all around - and they'll probably be Nakang NS-20's since they're cheap and I don't have a bunch of extra money at the moment.
Anyone have any input to share? I guess my biggest concerns are with running the 215/35 and 225/35, I'm curious to how aggressive the stretch will be in terms of tire deformation, I'd like to avoid de-beading tires once a week.
