It sounds more like the door latch that's messed up. Trying to drill the screws out will be very difficult. I would try to get the doorpanel loose and try to open the door manually. It's probably just a clip that broke and the rod that actually opens the latch is no longer connected. Any way you look at it it's going to be a bitch.

If you're going to post a thread and ask for advice it is best to not fly off the handle and call people names. There was NOTHING particularly offensive about zerodameaon's post and you were COMPLETELY out of line. His point was simply that if you've got the mental capacity to come up with the solution you proposed in the OP, then perhaps your time would be better spent working on the car and figuring out the problem than posting a thread looking for some magical solution. There is NO magical easy solution. Your issue is NOT a common issue. You're going to have to figure it out on your own...
