Actually, this is exactly what I was thinking (not the smartass part)... 27mm socket & impact gun is the absolute best way to go.

Word of advice, whatever you do- BE REAL CAREFUL whilst wrastiling with this... The threads are very fine and easily marred (experience)... Although sucky, I do recommend you reconnect the uprights just to keep everything as stable as possible during the fight... Unless you use an impact gun

**One last thing- Axle nuts are ONE TIME USE items... DO NOT reuse them for safety reasons... Rock auto and/or your local Vatozone has them for a couple bucks apiece. Others may chime in and tell you it's fine- Although I'm just an enthusiast like most, I do know this for fact and I assure you that the folks here who ARE certified mechanics will give you the same word of caution.
