the 240sx isnt well remembered by the general public at all (which is very unfortunate). automotive enthusiasts tend to have an idea of what the 240sx is/was, but the genpop, forget it!

Lennon you missed my point. I was saying contrary to Corbics opinion people don't recognize the 240sx as a 240Z they don't recognize it at all. LOL
The mental midgets at Autozone say that because they are not even looking at your car they are just listening to you request a part for it.
Perhaps there was a misunderstanding. I was talking about when people actually see the car in person. Most of those people just see it (240sx)t as some old Nissan.
Least you forgot people put 240z together with Datsun, not NIssan. Thanks to the brilliance or lack thereof of Nissan execs in the 80's they created a huge disconnect between the parent company and the Brand name in switching over to Nissan branding from Datsun. People think they are two separate car companies. Just like the brilliant LA PD who pulled my over in my old P10. Thinking it was stolen because it had Nissan Primera badgeing instead of Infiniti G20. They could not figure out why the plate tags came back Infiniti but the car saisd Nissan even on the manufacturing plates
You guys seriously give the general public to much credit. lol
