I would go enclosed for a couple of reasons...
.If your car is nice it'll stay that way (no stone chips etc)
It's easier to take tools and spares to the track.
You can lock your stuff up at the track
And lastly, they are easy to attach a canopy to and you can go inside them to escape heat/sun, weather etc
