nice, that's what im talking about, I really like that look, makes the engine bay look really clean and simple really inspiring. Plus that wrinkle red is the bomb, even if it's consider ricey by many. I did my VC's wrinkle red:

Sadly that engine looks cleaner than 70% of this forum member's car's engines

Notice how every wire, hose, pipe is clamped down and held in place? Idk about you but I really like that. The thing is that that engine is dirty from oily vapors and oil leaks which is very typical on many diesel engine, and also the paint is very old, probably the original paint on that really old engine.
I was thinking something more like this:

Maybe paint the valve cover the same color. And since mr2's use transaxles and are very visible in the engine bay it will also be getting some paint. I've never done this before, im a more traditional black block, aluminum head, red or black VC, and leave the rest unpainted guy, but this time i wanna do something different, and looking at all those nice and clean semi-truck engine bays at work has affected my brain xD
