So far I have spent probably 8 hours on it. Of course, this is the first time that I am doing this so once I got better it may take less time. I predict there will be at least another 8 hours to finish it up.
Dash covers are nice but some people don't like them, and I am one of those picky people
Spools, I did consider a coverlay BUT...
1. Its plastic and there is something about coverlay that doesn't look right
2. It sticks out past the vents and it doesn't look flush all around the other edges
3. The coverlay does not go all the way down on the center console area or even on the the sides (This was the main reason I didn't go with the Coverlay)
I really wanted to see if I can return my dash to the factory condition keeping the soft to touch material. Also, the material I chose is non slip so anything you put on the dash will stay there for the most part (unless someone is drifting lol).
Actually, if this works, I am thinking of covering all the plastic surfaces in my S13 with this (pillars, center console and panels).
